WHY TO TAKE CARBS FOOD IN THE MORNING?

When I started to write the next post, one of the sweet memories of my grandma flashed in my mind that I wanted to share with you.

You all know children are always curious to ask question to their near and dear ones. I remember that day my grandma was busy with her daily chores. I went to her closely and asked “Grandma…why are we born on this Earth?”

Can you guess what she answered? She didn’t even think a second and replied “We are born on this Earth to eat yummy foods..!”. I don’t know why I asked this question to her. Even though her answer was funny and controversial, later I figure out the importance and values of having good food. Experience is our teacher both in war and peace. Back to topic…

Do you cut down the carbohydrates intake in the morning? Do you become tired so easily? Then it’s time for you to know the importance of taking carbs in the morning…

POWER OF CARBOHYDRATES

Our body requires three macro nutrients daily for its nourishment. They are Carbohydrates ,proteins and fat.

The main role of carbohydrate is to provide energy to the body, store energy, build macromolecules and spare protein and fat for other uses. They help to charge your brain ,kidneys, heart muscles and central nervous system.

TYPES OF CARBOHYDRATES

The two main types of dietary carbs a

  • Simple carbs – are found in foods such as fruits ,milk ,milk product and also in processed foods such as candy, sugar, syrup and soft drinks. Simple carbs are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, causing a rapid rise in blood sugar.
  • Complex carbs – are found in foods such as rice, whole grains ,starchy vegetables (potatoes ,carrots ,pea pods, bean sprouts),pasta, bread and cereals. Several research says that as complex carbs break down slowly, it helps prevent the blood sugar spikes that could interfere with the person’s sleep or appetite.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU EAT CARBS?

Both simple and complex carbs are broken down by the body into glucose which is the preferred source of energy for the body, particularly the brain. In response your body produces a harmone called insulin, that encourages your cells to take up sugar from the blood and use it or store it for later.
